Have you ever interrupted a family vacation
to run in to a
used book sale...
for a just a few hours?

Or perhaps you’ve been known to trim your grocery bill
so you could buy more books
!

Maybe the neighbors even call YOU
instead of the library when they
are looking for that
hard-to-find book!

If you’ve always known that you have a serious problem
when it comes to books and
you are guilty
of the situations above,
then you have two options and you must act today

Option 1

You can go to the nearest rehab center and beg for bibliotherapy
to help curb your
uncontrollable desire for books.

However, you may not have access to an affordable rehab center close
to your home.
In that case, you will need to proceed to Option 2.

Option 2

Admit your obsession as a bibliophile,
and fuel your irrepressible yearning for that unattainable
“one more book”
by buying Confessions of a Bookjunkie today!

Are you ready for…

one of the first eBooks ever written with you,
the bookjunkie, in mind?

This collection of stories was written by a bunch of Entrepreneurs at Home who are all members of a Yahoo! Group. And yes, we all have publicly confessed to our Problem.

So when Mary Jo Tate of Mississippi suggested we should put together a collection of our interesting tales, our dear leader and List Mama, Rhea! of Tennessee promptly set up this project. (It’s one of many our group has undertaken. After all, entrepreneurs who don’t Do Anything are just wishful thinkers armed with a dream to accomplish “some day” and a local library card.)

So Mary Jo was promptly volunteered to collect and edit the stories, between chapters she was reading to her boys.

We even had a competition for the design of this site and Brandon Marra of California, 14, won. Luke Brymer of Alabama, 16 won the site copywriting competition and Faith Janes of Georgia won the group logo design. All three were awarded cash prizes although they would have preferred a good book.

And Heidi Kaether of Wisconsin won $100 in the competition we held for writing and recording our group's theme song. In case you didn't hear it, make sure you turn up your speakers and click Play on the button at the top of this page.

P.S. A true bookjunkie lives by our motto, the words of Henry Ward Beecher: "A home without books is like a room without windows...A little library, growing every year, is an honorable part of a man's history. It is a man's duty to have books. A library is not a luxury, but one of the necessities of life."

P.P.S. And the words of Henry David Thoreau, "How many a man has dated a new era in his life from the reading of a book!"
